PROGRAMS

Royal Taekwondo's Programs

  • Welcome to our Musketeers program, designed specifically for children aged 4-6 years old. Our program blends the rich traditions of taekwondo with engaging lessons and activities tailored to the developmental needs of young children, creating a fun and dynamic environment for learning and growth.

Our program focuses on introducing fundamental Taekwondo techniques in a manner that is accessible and enjoyable for young children. In our Musketeer classes, students will learn basic stances, blocks, punches and kicks, fostering coordination, balance, agility, and focus.

We believe in recognizing and celebrating the achievements of every Musketeer. Our program offers a structured junior belt progression system that allows children to work through the curriculum in smaller increments, setting them up for success. Through regular belt testing and ceremonies, students are encouraged to strive for continuous improvement and strong sense of self esteem.

  • Welcome to our evening Taekwondo program designed to cater to individuals seeking both recreational and competitive challenges in the art of Taekwondo. Our program blends the traditional values of discipline, respect, focus, and self-improvement with opportunities for participants to explore their potential in both recreational and competitive settings.

Our evening taekwondo program is split into 3 groups: Beginners (White Belt to Green Stripe Belt, Advanced (Green Belt up to Red Stripe Belt) and Black Belt Academy (Red Belt to Black Belt and higher Dans). Our program is designed for students to work through our curriculum at their own pace. Our program provides clear expectations for each belt level as well as a stripe system. The stripe system allows students to complete smaller curriculum based goals as they work towards their next rank.

Regardless of whether your goal is recreational enjoyment or competitive success, our program recognizes and celebrates our students' progression and achievement; each student is seen as an individual and is never compared to another. Participants have the opportunity to earn belt promotions through regular testing, marking their advancement in Taekwondo skill and knowledge.

For those interested in the competitive track our school actively participates in Taekwondo tournaments, training camps and events. This allows those interested to challenge themselves against opponents from other schools, and strive for excellence in a competitive setting. Our coaching team provides support and guidance throughout the tournament experience, helping our students to perform their best.

  • Welcome to our Royal Aces program where you can step into the world of high performance training. This program allows competitive students to take their training to a higher level and
compete in Olympic style sparring competitions with a goal of earning a spot on the Provincial and National Teams. Through personalised training regimens, and unwavering support, we empower our athletes to unlock their full potential, both on and off the mats.

Within our club we have had several athletes compete and medal at both Provincial and National level competitions, while showcasing their skill, determination, and the unwavering spirit that defines our program.

Guiding our high performance athletes is our Head Coach, Master Diane Tonner, a registered Professional Coach, and a certified Performance Coach through Taekwondo Canada. With a deep understanding of the sport and decades of experience, she leads with expertise and passion. Master Diane Tonner is also a distinguished member of the Taekwondo Ontario Coaching Committee, and her commitment to helping her students achieve greatness is steadfast; this ensures our program remains at the forefront of Taekwondo development and innovation.
